The REOFFENDERS

Punk Rock: Classic and Modern

The REOFFENDERS are on an indefinite break. Never say never, but we currently have no plans to play. However, we had joy and we had fun... and we blogged about it. Enjoy reading and reliving some good times.

Jimmy Eat World at last

Indesit, Hoover and I went to Bristol last night to see Jimmy Eat World in action. This was the date that was rearranged after the March cancelled gig.

Paul and I were talking over a beer beforehand, and I saw somebody pointing at the back of his T-shirt (he was wearing his BMAD festival T-shirt with the list of bands on the back). The guys were from a band called Full Speed Alone who were a last minute addition to the BMAD gig.

The support band, Fortune Drive from Bristol played a blinder. Gotta get hold of a CD if they have one, they played about half an hour I think and it wasn't enough.

Jimmy were excellent, lots of energy, sweat, brilliant harmonies between the vocalists and lots of people jumping up and down, including Mr Hoover getting an elbow in the face resulting in a cut lip. I went particularly nuts when they played "The Middle". That's what one of my songs, that is!

We also had an exciting moment as we stood outside the takeaway opposite the Hippodrome as Michael Ball went past on his tour bus and waved at us! The street was awash with blue rinses swooning for him!

Tonight, sees the three musketeers wandering over to Exmouth to see naked ape in the last week of Battle of the Bands. Go and see them! They're great (and are Radar's other managed band).
