The REOFFENDERS

Punk Rock: Classic and Modern

The REOFFENDERS are on an indefinite break. Never say never, but we currently have no plans to play. However, we had joy and we had fun... and we blogged about it. Enjoy reading and reliving some good times.

I wanna do it again! Again! Again! Again!

Saturday saw The REOFFENDERS play their first gig in three weeks, something that hasn't happened in quite a while. But football has played havoc with gig bookings lately (and they keep telling me its only every 4 years so don't complain...) and it was good to get back to it.

Hoover and I had friends visiting from London so it was exciting to have them in the audience. Ports hasn't seen Hoover sing live in 5 years and he's come out of his shell a smidge since then (yes, I know... hard to believe he ever had a shell to hide in!).

We did a 2.5 hour set at the request of Ben, the landlord. Normally we do one 2 hour set but we decided to give Brucie a break on the drums and cut the 2.5 hours into two sets. It ain't pretty when your drummer collapses due to exhaustion.

I do like the Crawford (for many reasons but particularly ...) because there's loads of furniture to climb on. The boys were rather enjoying themselves standing on the banisters.

The balloon net didn't quite work to plan - it came off the ceiling 2 songs before it was needed, but as always the balloons were very popular with sensible adults turning into 5 year olds at the blink of an eye.

Funniest thing in the world was Hotpoint and Indesit bursting balloons at the end. Indesit shoved a balloon up his shirt before they charged at each other to body slam! Then again! Then again! I honestly thought Indesit was going to wet himself, he was laughing so much!
