The REOFFENDERS

Punk Rock: Classic and Modern

The REOFFENDERS are on an indefinite break. Never say never, but we currently have no plans to play. However, we had joy and we had fun... and we blogged about it. Enjoy reading and reliving some good times.

Iggy - the latest member of the band

Iggy
So I was sat on eBay last week checking out what vans were for sale and there's this red VW Transporter thats been owned by a disabled school since new. The price was dead low, but hey, you know how it alwaysshoots up at the end. Nevermind, I'll stick in a lowish bid and see what happens...

...what happened was the next day Morph and I are on the way to Waterlooville (nr Portsmouth) to fetch the van from ABA Vans.

Its got six seats and enough space for all the gear and it runs really well.

A big thank you to the lads at ABA for being so helpful - if you need a van then I suggest you try them!

Iggy? Yeah well, seen as we're all passengers...

Hoover and out

French Punk? Oh la la!

Over the last year we've had 3 lineup changes which has hampered the growth of our setlist somewhat, so with the Cornwall tour out of the way it't time to get down to it! We've each been picking new songs to learn each week so that there's a good variation.

Week one contained 4 songs for John, one for me. I got Psycho Killer by Talking Heads which is a great song but I hadn't realised that there are 3 lines of French in the break.

Week two contained 2 songs for me, both Blondie - Denis and Call Me. Guess what? Bloody French again! Words can be tricky to learn at the best of times but this is taking d'leau!

I hadn't realised that the punk era was so refined. Our set now includes 3 songs in French and 1 in Spanish! Blimey

Our First Haunted Venue

I just booked a gig at Choughs in Chard and read up abit about its history as it is reported to be haunted.

Oooooh, exciting. And with a date of 2nd November, we're only a few days after Hallowe'en too!

Lets not upset anyone with a camera flash!
